REEEP Experts
In order to expand our network to include qualified and experienced independent professionals from around the world we invite interested parties to apply to become a REEEP Independent Expert. Applications are currently being sought until 12th September 2008.
Who can be an expert and what does that mean?
Experts will be selected based on their experience and expertise in one or more:
- renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors (For e.g. solar energy, energy efficiency standards and labeling etc.),
- programme thematic areas (For e.g. Regulatory instruments, carbon finance etc.),
- countries of priority to the REEEP programme (For e.g, China, Uganda etc.).
The selected experts may then be contracted to perform specific assignments in support of REEEP’s activities (e.g, Events, Publications, Projects etc.)
These assignments could include, but not be limited to:
- Project Proposal Assessments,
- Project Impact Assessments,
- Data collection and Report writing.
- Market Analysis.
How to become a REEEP expert
The following procedure describes how to apply to become a REEEP expert:
There are two possible ways to apply:
- You already have a "Friend of REEEP" account (account to login to the community system of this website).
- Login to the community system with your username and password
- Navigate to "Account/Settings" inside the "My REEEP" section
- Click on "Edit"
- Choose "Experts Applicant: yes"
- Click "Save"
- Now you should see a new Menuitem inside the "My REEEP" section called "Experts Profile"
- Fill out the "Experts Profile"
or:
- You do not have a "Friend of REEEP" account.
- Click here to register as a "Friend of REEEP"
- Make sure that the "Experts Applicant" choicebox is set to "yes" in your registration form
- After activating your account (you will get an email to activate) login to the Community System with your username and password
- Click on "Experts Profile" inside the "My REEEP" section
- Fill out the "Experts Profile"
You will need to provide details of your academic qualifications, your employment history and your professional expertise (with full details of jobs, projects and publications). In order to save you time we recommend you have this information at hand before starting to fill out the registration form.
We expect completion of the registration form to take up to 2 hours. However, you do not have to complete the registration form in one operation. You may fill out and save some sections of the form now and then return at a later time to finish entering your information.
Your registration will not be submitted for consideration until the declaration in the final section has been acknowledged and the “Accept” button has been pressed.
Registrations received after the registration deadline of 12th September 2008 will not be considered. Applicants who do not comply with the registration guidelines or do not meet the essential requirements specified in the Terms of Reference will not be considered.
REEEP retains the discretion not to accept this application to register and unsuccessful registrations will not be acknowledged.
