Information provided by reegle
reegle provides information and data on all the various sub-sectors within sustainable energy at a global level. It is designed to be a one-stop-shop for high quality up-to-date information on renewable energy, energy efficiency and on key industry participants (‘Actors’).
The database is both a repository for up-to-date information as well as an entry point into relevant data sources and other key providers of relevant information. reegle's content is derived from data and information found in existing databases covering the following areas related to sustainability:
- Jurisdiction and laws, policies and measures
- Finance and Investment opportunities
- Latest news, reports and analyses
- Actors and experts
reegle contains a "Actors' Catalogue", which is a directory of organisations involved in renewable energy and energy efficiency. It contains information on, and links to, approximately 850 initiatives, partnerships and organisations involved in the sustainable energy fields. The Catalogue also breaks the information down so people can examine the focus, geographical reach and projects of the various actors.
The “Search by Category” function allows users to find information on specific sectors, countries and types of information. It makes available a full range of information on renewable energy and energy efficiency including jurisdiction & laws, policies & measures, finance & investment, reports & analyses and latest news.
The “Intelligent Search” function within reegle allows users to find closely related topics to help refine their searches. This feature is based on a "Mind Map" principle, which was created from interviews with high level experts on sustainable energy. This enables reegle users to broaden or narrow their searches.
