The official REEEP and SouthSouthNorth joint side event at COP15 in Copenhagen, will be held on Friday, 11th December, 11.00 -12.30, in the Niels Bohr Room, highlighting successful examples of low-carbon energy development. Speakers will include:
Mark Fogarty, CEO and Director of Greenbank Capital, Australia who will speak on Australia's development role in the Pacific Region.
Oliver Knight, Energy Advisor, DFID, UK will discuss his government's Advanced Market Commitments for low carbon technologies.
Terje Osmundsen, Vice President, Scatec Solar will highlight how solar power can be made affordable through innovative carbon and infrastructure finance.
Stefan Raubenheimer, CEO of the SouthSouthNorth Trust and
Stephen Thorne, that organisation's Technology Transfer and Receptivity Programme Director will highlight The Sustainable Human Settlements Programme.
