Reducing energy consumption while maintaining robust and effective transportation systems requires policies for improving both the energy efficiency of vehicles and the energy efficiency of the holistic transport system. How can APEC economies use their individual experiences to further their collective success in the realm of transportation energy efficiency? And how can they incorporate the transportation sector—a critical source of emissions as well as a potential solution to reducing them—in local, regional, and global climate discussions?
