Description:

Communities for Advanced Distributed Energy Resources (CADER) conference 2010

Making community energy systems sustainable is a critical challenge to present and future economic development. Integrating local distributed energy resources (DERs) can make the entire system more energy efficient, increase environmental quality, achieve high fuel utilization, ensure system reliability, power quality, and energy performance, raising profits by utilizing waste and lowering fuel costs.

The CADER Conference 2010 provides a context for this critical conversation, promoting the integrated DER marketplace to benefit everyone involved: customers and planners meet face-to-face with companies offering products and services that interest them; venture capital has access to investment opportunities, providing companies with needed capital; industry meets face-to-face with legislators and regulators to promote change that serves industry and society-at-large; business entities and developers meet with local planning and development officials and utilities to develop practical frameworks in which to collaborate; job-seekers and consultants meet employers and partners directly.
