Regional Secretariat North America
The REEEP Secretariat for North America is managed by the Alliance to Save Energy, an organization dedicated to promoting the multiple benefits of energy efficiency worldwide by deploying practices and technologies that enhance the economy, improve sustainability, increase energy security, and other societal benefits since its establishment in 1977. The Alliance’s effectiveness is derived from its strong partnership with a broad range of stakeholders in the public and private sector and over 150 Associate companies and organizations with an interest in energy efficiency.
The Alliance has had a long history of supporting efforts to promote energy efficiency based on partnerships between government and business and between the federal and state governments and has been actively involved in the climate change and sustainable development debate at the international and national level, helping to raise awareness about the role of energy efficiency in reducing global greenhouse gas emissions and improving standards of living.
