International Secretariat
REEEP’s International Secretariat is based in Vienna, Austria within the Vienna International Centre’s UN Buildings.
The International Secretariat is the central communication and strategy hub for the overall Partnership. It co-ordinates and facilitates the network, so that knowledge is disseminated and exchanged between the regional secretariats, partners, project implementers, donors and other renewable energy partnerships in a timely and precise manner. A major part of the International Secretariat role is to oversee, monitor and provide strategic guidance to REEEP’s Project Programme.
The International Secretariat’s overall aim, like the rest of REEEP, is to maximise the acceleration of the integration of renewables into the energy mix and to advocate energy efficiency as a path to improved energy security and reduced carbon emissions, ensuring socio-economic benefits.
