Who we work with
As a leading international sustainable energy partnership catalyzing change across the developing world, REEEP is working with a wide variety of stakeholders to ensure coordination and engagement among policymakers, regulators, financiers and NGOs.
Who we work with
We aim to be both inclusive and comprehensive in our approach to influencing decision and policy makers. Our Partnership includes National Governments, International Organisations and Development Banks, right down to local NGO’s trying to make a real difference on the ground. We have Partners in more than 40 countries, all working together to direct their activities in a manner that enhances our overall knowledge and replicates success.
Partners are organisations who have signed the REEEP Mission Statement and who agree to provide the partnership with knowledge and tools to facilitate change. All Partners must be formally approved by REEEP’s Governing Board in order to ensure that their Organisation is committed and proactive in reducing barriers to the deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies.
Government who are Partners are working with REEEP to promote local, regional, and international market conditions for the accelerated deployment of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. Some Partner Governments provide REEEP with funding and all Partner Governments are committed to ensuring that policies and regulations are introduced to reduce the risk of investing into clean energy in their respective country.
Existing energy partnerships are also working to remove barriers to sustainable energy systems. Rather than promote overlapping initiatives, REEEP has signed Memorandums of Understanding with leading partnerships to ensure that our activities are coordinated in a particular market or industry sector. This ensures there is no duplication of effort, and enables REEEP to maximise its resources and focus on areas which will make the biggest difference to the market as a whole.
