CINER, The Information Center on Renewable Energy, was first established in 1991 as a working unit within the Program for the dissemination of Renewable Energy, PROPER Bolivia, through the know-how provided by the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ). In 1997, together with a group of professionals with a wide experience in the energy field, community development and planning, follow up (monitoring) and evaluation, a new phase was initiated as a Non Governmental Organization. CINER, based on its wide network and global contacts, is promoting sustainable development of society, providing advice, information, facilitation, and training of human resources in energy related issues, and within the scope of energy development projects, assuming the functions of: • Formulation of policies and strategies, planning. • Technical development. • Project design and execution. • Project management. • Monitoring and evaluation of projects. |
