MicroSave is a training and consultancy organisation involved in giving technical support to microfinance institutions, NGOs, Community based organisations. MicroSave believes that finance is one of the big constraints in increasing the outreach of the renewable products among the poor. Most of existing financial products being offered by different MFIs do not reflect the customer needs and this has led to low uptake of such products. Similarly, Energy products currently being develoled in India also do not meet the client needs and is more production driven. No real effort has been made to understand the client needs and preferences in designing the energy products. MicroSave has extensive experience in developing financial products based on Cleint needs. MicroSave's toolkits on New Product Development, PRA tools for Market Research and Market Research for Microfinance have been recognised internationally and have assisted NGOs and MFIs in developing more market led products. MicroSave intends to utilise these capabilites in designing energy products and financial products around those energy products to increase the outreach of the renewable energy to a wide section of poor.
