RAMP Carbon’s mission is to be an innovate enterprise scaling up the deployment of solutions to mitigate climate change, enhance resource security and improve livelihoods. The RAMP Carbon team was central to the design, development and implementation of the first CDM Programme of Activities to be registered by the Executive Board. The PoA will distribute millions of energy saving light bulbs to low income families across Mexico. Examples of RAMP Carbon's recent projects include: Compilation of a project monitoring report and management of verification for an energy efficiency PoA. Writing project design documents for an off-grid lighting PoA in Asia. Reviewing project documentation and designing legal and governance structures for the coordinating entity of a renewable energy PoA. Based on this experience and expertise, RAMP Carbon provides specialized advisory services to project owners, government agencies and multilateral institutions wishing to develop emission reduction projects under a programmatic framework. RAMP Carbon has a world leading track record delivering solutions for clients in the area of programmatic CDM. Our services include: Program scoping and feasibility studies, Methodology development, Design of baseline studies & monitoring plans, Writing Project Design Documents (PINs, PoA-DD, CPA-DD etc), Management of validation & registration processes, Provision of monitoring & verification advice and management, and Advice on structuring carbon finance transactions. On a number of projects, RAMP Carbon is also developing micro-finance and ESCO solutions to overcome the financial barriers faced by many programs targeting least developed communities. |
