Mono Energy has sustainable water solutions for a range of applications: Agriculture Solar powered water pumping systems enable farmers to more easily access regular, reliable supplies of water for crop irrigation and for water livestock. Removing the need for gruelling, time-consuming water collection by hand and the ongoing expense of noisy, polluting diesel pumps, solar powered systems set farmers on a path to self-sufficiency, increased income generation and moving beyond subsistence farming. As part of its packaged, solar powered water solutions, Mono Energy offers irrigation options, including sprinklers and drip irrigation systems which minimise the use and loss of water and valuable top soils. All packaged solutions come with required pumps, solar panels, control electronics, connective piping and wiring and irrigation equipment. The water pumps themselves can either be surface-mounted, floating or submersible. Drinking water The regular supply of clean water for drinking and cooking is a major challenge facing millions of people every day. Mono Energy’s solar powered water pumping and filtration systems can supply thousands of litres of clean water every day, with tank systems for safe storage of excess water. Reliance on noisy, polluting generators is eliminated or significantly reduced, and community members no longer need to waste time and energy on inefficient hand pumps or carrying water by hand for kilometres each day. Sanitation As with clean water for drinking and cooking, clean water for sanitation is essential for improving health outcomes in developing communities. Mono Energy’s surface-mounted, floating or submersible pump systems can either deliver clean water to a central collection point within a community or across a local distribution network to numerous homes and/or facilities. Again, tank storage can be incorporated to back-up water supplies. Mono Energy also offers solar powered energy solutions for developing communities to power schools, health clinics, community lighting, homes, villages, and income generating activities such as aquaculture, virgin coconut oil factories, Internet shops, battery charging stations and handicraft workshops. |
