The World Future Council brings the interests of future generations to the centre of policy making. Its up to 50 eminent members from around the globe have already successfully promoted change. The Council addresses challenges to our common future and provides decision-makers with effective policy solutions. In-depth research underpins advocacy work for international agreements, regional policy frameworks and national lawmaking and thus produces practical and tangible results. To help the spread of future just policies from country to country, the WFC has identified 3 phases: awareness raising (for integrative analysis and solutions), engaging (the change makers amongst decision-makers) and enabling (supporting with expertise and networks). International hearings and capacity building workshops with decision-makers constitute important steps for the dissemination and promotion of innovative policy solutions worldwide. |

In its Climate and Energy work, the World Future Council focuses on the promotion of best policies for the acceleration of deployment of renewable energies. (http://worldfuturecouncil.org/climate_energy.html) We try to give answers to the overall question of what is the best framework to boost the use of future energies without deteriorating the competitive environment for business. Further the World Future Council does advocacy work for best policies in the field of Future Justice, Peace and Disarmament, Future Finance and Sustainable Ecosystems. |
