Description: Finpro is a non-profit, Finnish government related consulting organization executing a national task which is to accelerate the internationalization of Finnish companies while managing the risks involved. Finpro is founded in 1919 and is ISO 9001 quality certified.

Finpro employs 350 people in 50 offices in 40 different countries including three offices in India (New Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai), four offices in China (Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hong Kong), and offices in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Vietnam, Australia, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. Our Latin America office network has offices in Argentina (Buenos Aires), Brazil (São José dos Campos), Chile (Santiago), and México (Mexico City).

Finpro has also dedicated project advisory offices working with the World Bank (Washington), the Asian Development Bank (Manila), and the EBRD (Brussels).

Our business development and financing competencies :
Finpro does annually around 800 business development assignments for SME companies. Such assignments include development of business plan, budget, and in cases, financing. Plans are based on extensive background research and market analysis, which we do around 1000 annually.
Finpro has Project Advisory Team specially dedicated on project finance matters. This team has offices in Washington where it communicates with the World Bank, in Manila where it communicates with Asian Development Bank, Brussels where it communicates with EU and European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and in Helsinki Finland. Total staff in this unit is 21 persons.

Recent projects in renewable energy:
5EURES – 2005-2007. Project will bring together the best experts in forestry and bioenergy from Barnim (Germany), Catalonia (Spain), East-Lithuania, Jyvaskyla and Joensuu regions (Finland) and Marvão (Portugal) to work together at a project consortium to set up practical demonstrations of bioenergy heat plants in these five regions.

BioAsia I and II – During 2001-2002 was a major project which mapped bioenergy sources, suit-able technologies, business models and business opportunities in Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam.

AL-Invest ENERGÍAS RENOVABLES 14-16.6 partnering meetings in Chile.

Other EU projects:
INCCOM – 2004-2006. Finnish and international ICT providers to develop new Cross-Media business models to Football World Cup in 2006.
