Analytical Methods for Energy Diversity and Security book launch

'Analytical Methods for Energy Diversity and Security' is launched today.

Co-edited by REEEP Programme Board Chair, Morgan Bazilian, and Fabien Roques as a tribute to their friend and colleague Shimon Awerbuch who died last year, the book, published by by Elsevier Science, focuses on the consideration of risks and costs in energy systems within the context of the international focus on energy security and climate change challenges.

The contributions are influenced by Shimon’s groundbreaking work in utilising financial theories in the energy sector, and have a focus on the role of clean energy technologies. Shimon was involved in the earliest days of REEEP as a Project Coordinator.

The book and includes contributions from leading energy economists from all over the world.

All royalties from the sale of the book are being donated, in Shimon’s memory, to charities. Initially the funds will be directed to the Grameen Bank’s Energy initiative (Grameen Shakti).

The book is available in Europe from 9th October, and in the USA from 16th November. It can be purchased directly from Elsevier, or from any major book seller (Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc.).
