Participate! Energy Globe Award is seeking the world’s best environmental projects

Vienna, 01.04.2009 - Florian Bauer

Do you have a great project and want to present it to a broad (inter)national audience? Then participate in the ENERGY GLOBE Award 2009 and exploit this chance to showcase your ideas.

The Energy Globe Award, today’s most prominent environmental award, distinguishes projects that conserve our resources such as water, soil, energy and air or that utilize renewable energy sources.

Awards are presented at the national and international levels in the categories Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Youth. The first prize in each category for the international Energy Globe Award is accompanied by €10,000 prize money.

The importance of the ENERGY GLOBE Award and the submitted projects will be underscored again this year by VIP guests and award presenters and by the exclusive venue for the presentation.

The Energy Globe World Awards 2008 will be presented on 14 April 2009 in the realm of the Energy Globe TV gala broadcast worldwide from Prague on invitation of the Czech EU presidency as the opening event of the meeting of EU environmental ministers. All European environmental ministers, the EU commissioner for the environment, Dr. Rajendra Pachauri (Nobel Prize winner and UN climate advisor), Carol Browner (climate advisor to US President Barack Obama) and many other VIPs will participate in the gala.

Submit your project, present it to national and international audiences, and help to form a viable future for our children.

All submitted projects will be documented in the Energy Globe database (www.energyglobe.info).

The deadline for submissions is 15 June 2009.

Further details are available on the submission form or at www.energyglobe.info.
