reegle a finalist for Green Plug Award

At Plugged 11.0, this year’s awards conference for the Austrian appliance industry, the reegle clean energy portal was a finalist for the Green Plug award, which specifically honours new products or services that are useful to consumers and at the same time represent a significant step forward ecologically and in terms of energy efficiency.

From a wide field of proposals including energy efficient home appliances, network stand-by devices and smart metering applications, three finalists were selected by the readers of futurezone, an Austrian technology title. The final three were Isabelle Hasleder for her Zero Energy Space concept house, a learning games from the Viennese company Ovos and the reegle website. At the awards gala on 10th November, an expert jury named Hasleder the winner.
“It was an honour for reegle to be considered for the Green Plug award,” notes Florian Bauer, Manager of reegle, “and although we are global in scope, this exposure helps build visibility around our home base here in Vienna.”
