When as an organisation you become a Partner of REEEP, or when as an individual you register as a Friend of REEEP, you are sending a signal of intent to a global community that you are committed to accelerating the integration and uptake of renewables and energy efficiency technology as a means of reducing carbon emissions, increasing energy security, and improving the poor’s access to energy worldwide.

Benefits

By the nature of any partnership, REEEP is only as strong and active as the organisations and individuals involved. REEEP is a change agent and supports and encourages individuals and organisations who wish to play an active role in the global integration of renewable and energy efficiency technologies.

In building the partnership, we have tried to build a community, in which partners can contribute their experiences in order that each member can learn and develop from each other, to encourage and ensure global best practice in the renewable and energy efficiency field.

Through REEEP, Partners will have the opportunity to maximise REEEP’s network and structures. Organisations which are proactive within this process will also have the opportunity to work with and develop guidance and contribute to the strategic direction of the partnership.

Through its network, REEEP facilitates:

1. Information Exchange
   As a partner/friend of REEEP you will have full access to all the information gathered through the its network. This is a two-way process and we hope members will be willing to give information, as well as receiving it. Through this mutually supporting process, Partners/Friends will be able to access/gain the support and guidance from both REEEP’s Regional and International Secretariats.
   
   Internally, through its projects, experts, activities, and diplomacy REEEP itself produces and has access to policy, regulatory and finance models that will be available to help member organisations.
   
   As a partner you will also have the opportunity to contribute to publications that REEEP produces.
    
2. Promotional and Media Opportunities
   REEEP works to publicise the work of its Partners and Network both regionally and internationally, through its Secretariats.
   
   REEEP on a regular basis produces an e-newsletter – NewsREEEP, which covers the partnership’s work in reducing policy, regulation and finance barriers to increased uptake and integration of renewables and energy efficiency technologies. NewsREEEP is available via email to all within the Partnership’s subscribers list.
   
   NewsREEEP is a collection of interviews, good practice, opinion pieces and other relevant news about REEEP itself and its Partners. Through this forum, Partners are encouraged to highlight and publicise their work and events by providing reports, documents, and articles for publication.
    
3. Networking/Matchmaking Opportunities
   Through REEEP’s global network, Partners have the opportunity to network and develop alliances with other organisations who are active in the integration and development of renewable and energy efficiency technologies. This can be done over the virtual community that has been created within this website, or through the programme of events that REEEP undertakes. REEEP is also happy to organise facilitated introductions or matchmaking events.
   
   REEEP also works closely with other partnerships within the renewable energy and energy efficiency field. This aids Partners in working with an even wider field of relevant and active actors.
