63 new proposals short-listed in the 8th Programme Cycle

Vienna, 29.04.2011 - REEEP International Secretariat

REEEP is pleased to announce the short-listed proposals for the 8th Programme Cycle.

A total of 365 project proposals have been received, from which 63 have been short-listed by independent experts. Those short-listed will be invited to submit full proposals by 27th May, and 18 of those will be selected for support. The level of quality of proposals has been extremely high, and the experts in all regions faced a very difficult task in arriving at the short-lists.

In addition to this two-stage short-list process, REEEP is also still accepting proposals from Governments and Development Financial Institutions (DFIs), as well as proposals for replication and scale-up of past projects, all with the same deadline of 27th May.  From these applications, some 7 Government/DFI projects and 5 replication and scale-up projects will be funded.

In total, the 8th Programme Cycle will support 30 projects, all addressing the priority areas of policy & regulation and business & finance. This cycle is made possible by generous donations from the United Kingdom and Norway.

Official notifications are being sent to all applicants. The list of all short-listed proposals can be downloaded here:
