The Delhi Sustainable Development Summit (DSDS), organized annually by TERI since 2001, is an international undertaking that provides a platform for knowledge exchange and debate on all aspects of sustainable development. Over the past ten years, it has emerged as one of the most important forums on global sustainability issues, with a focus on developing world solutions. The DSDS 2011 theme “Tapping Local Initiatives and Tackling Global Inertia” will concentrate on the vital importance of local initiatives throughout the world in building momentum towards a sustainable future.

Just prior to the summit, REEEP will be co-hosting a side event on "Fast-tracking Energy Conservation in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises" together with TERI and the Embassy of Switzerland in India.  Dr. Marianne Osterkorn, REEEP's Director General will be one of three Inaugural Session speakers at the side event, and several REEEP-funded projects targeting small and medium-sized enterprises will also be highlighted there. It takes place in the Jacaranda Hall -I, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi  from 9:30am to 1:00pm on February 2nd.
