Session 1: 9:30 -10:30
EU / Mexico experience: nanotechnology as driver for building EE
Ing. Fernando Mayagoitia from Mexico’s leading housing developer Urbi and Mr. Jack Armstrong of BASF discuss the use of European nanotechnology and other energy efficiency innovations in low-energy buildings in Mexico.
Session 2: 10:30 -11:30
EU / China experience : geothermal heating and ventilation technology
Mr. Bernd Widerin of Enercret, the Austrian-based geothermal heating/AC provider and Zheng Bin of Enercret China will discuss the application of European geothermal technology in China at Wuhan Hospital and Wuxi Goulian Financial Tower. Opening remarks will be delivered by Dr. Peter Zapfel, Head of Coordination Office DG Climate.
Session 3: 11:30 - 12:30
EU / Middle East experience: city planning for energy efficiency
Pedro Haberbosch from Foster + Partners and Afshin Afshari of Masdar will discuss city master planning for maximum energy efficiency, drawing on the example of Masdar City in Abu Dhabi. The Hon. Fiona Hall, MEP will give the opening address.
