Description:
This 4th Biannual Edition EREC 2011 will provide a reality check on the 2010 White Paper Targets for Renewable Energy Sources, debate the implementation of the Renewable Energy Directive and outline Europe's energy pathways to 2050 and offers a unique platform for the European renewable energy industry that favours interactions with the European Parliament as well the new European Commission.
The Programme of the Conference is structured around the following leading themes:

IEA Book Launch - the latest IEA annual book on renewables “Harnessing variable Renewables: a Guide to the Balancing Challenge” will be launched during EREC 2011. The publication sheds light on managing power systems with large shares of variable renewables such as wind and solar PV, with a focus on strategies to maintain reliable balance of supply and demand.
