Green Jobs have evolved quickly in the United States and Canada. What’s the role for local government in supporting the creation and support of new green jobs in their communities? Is the private sector doing everything it can? What can we do to ensure the sustainability and quality of these jobs?
We will examine these issues and also take a look at the various motivations in play, the role of local government, the non-profit and private sector, and potential opportunities and conflicts of interest and what we have learned since the green jobs movement began to gain momentum in early 2009.
