SE4All Workshop on the Water-Energy-Food Nexus

In September 2015, world leaders formally adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 associated targets which are aimed at stimulating action over the next 15 years in areas of critical importance for a more equitable and sustainable world. The strong linkages between the SDGs underlines the notion that progress on each goal will be critical for progress on others, with increasing understanding for the implementation of the SDGs through an integrated framework that demands close collaboration at all levels of governance. As a result, the water-energy-food nexus has emerged as a crucial policy and governance approach for integrated planning and implementation of the SDGs.

Project implementers meeting poster presentation Johannesburg

REEEP is more than simply a project funder. We aim to synthesise learning on topics that we believe are of general importance to the development of clean energy, and disseminate that learning to a wider audience. In keeping with this spirit, 30 REEEP project implementers will be meeting in Vienna on 29-30 May 2013 for two days of interactive discussions alongside the Vienna Energy Forum.

REEEP Regional Secretariat changes

Over the last decade, the global market for clean energy has seen tremendous growth with strong moves towards maturity in many country and regional markets. Since 2005, REEEPs Regional Secretariat in the Southeast Asia and Pacific has had a proud track record of delivering projects and information services to support this growth in our region. REEEP funding has enabled the delivery of a variety of innovative projects.
