The Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) supports decision-makers in designing and delivering climate compatible development. It does this by combining research, advisory services and knowledge management in support of locally owned and managed policy processes. It works in partnership with decision-makers in the public, private and non-governmental sectors nationally, regionally and globally.

The UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has been a prominent funder of REEEP projects and operations since 2009.  DECC envisions a thriving, globally competitive, low carbon energy economy. 

Its key priorities are to save energy with the Green Deal and support vulnerable consumers; to deliver secure energy on the way to a low carbon energy future; to drive ambitious action on climate change at home and abroad; and manage the UK energy legacy responsibly and cost-effectively.

Vienna Energy Forum 2013

Organized one year after the Rio+20 Summit, the third Vienna Energy Forum (VEF 2013) will provide a high level forum for leaders, policy makers and energy practitioners to engage in an interactive dialogue on key specific sustainable energy issues. REEEP will be hosting the VEF reception on 29 May 2013, showcasing 30 projects there.

Accessing private capital via CTC&N: ideas & proposals for tech deployment from CTI PFAN and REEEP

This COP18 official side event will explore CTI PFAN’s proposal for institutionalizing private sector finance window for CTC&N, and REEEP’s ideas for supporting small and medium-sized clean energy enterprises. Renewable energy is making rapid inroads in developing countries, with investment reaching US$112 billion in 2012, representing 46 percent of total global investment in renewable energy. Yet even with this growth in activity, investors, developers, and other practitioners still operate in an information vacuum when it comes to easily finding practical examples of financing and implementation of renewable energy projects.
