Locating good quality and relevant information to help address climate change can be a challenging and time consuming task. Paradoxically, in an increasingly interconnected and information rich world, the sheer volume of information being produced globally and the multiplicity of possible sources can make identifying and accessing the right information for your own particular context and needs increasingly difficult.

The evidence and knowledge we develop is only valuable if turned into action. We follow a multi-tiered approach to sharing knowledge, beginning with direct collaboration with close partners who can put evidence to good use by developing policy and shaping investment pipelines. 

UNIDO and REEEP join hands to co-host the next generation of PFAN to accelerate private financing for clean energy businesses in the developing world

VIENNA, 26 November, 2015. The governing board of the Private Finance Advisory Network (PFAN), a multilateral public-private partnership that connects clean energy businesses with private financing, announced today that it has entered negotiations with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) for the two organizations to jointly host the next generation of PFAN in Vienna.

REEEP Kenya Ventures Announced as Powering Agriculture Innovators

REEEP is proud to announce that two ventures from its Powering Agrifood Value Chains 2015 Portfolio have been announced as 2015 Innovators of the Powering Agriculture Energy Grand Challenge for Development (PAEGC). Sunculture and Futurepump, providers of solar-powered irrigation systems to medium and smallholder farmers, respectively, are "helping to accelerate the development and deployment of clean energy solutions that will enhance agricultural yields/productivity, decrease post-harvest loss, improve farmer and agribusiness income generating opportunities and revenues, and/or increase energy efficiency and associated savings within the operations of farms and agribusinesses all while stimulating low carbon economic growth within the agriculture sector of developing countries."

CDKN and HELIO International release Inside Story on Smart Energy Pathways for West Africa

One initiative to overcome energy challenges in West Africa's Benin, Mali and Togo is the ‘Energy, Ecodevelopment and Resilience in Africa (EERA)’ project, which focuses on reinforcing national technical and institutional capacities and is implementing a multi-sectoral participatory approach to decision-making in each country. This goes beyond the ministries in charge of energy and includes analyses of national energy systems and policies.
