Olivia Coldrey, REEEP’s Director, Sustainable Finance, recently spent an afternoon with a group of exceptional scholarship students from Germany exploring sustainable development scenarios for Nepal to 2050. This was a great opportunity for REEEP to share its expertise and at the same time get a fresh view on the issues we work on from the next generation of leaders.

Global Science, Technology and Innovation Conference 2017

The G-STIC 2017 conference focuses on connecting technological innovation to decision making for sustainability. It aims to build knowledge bases and global expert networks to support the technological transitions needed for the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Smart cities for sustainable development

For the first time this year two important dates in the urban calendar happened in October. The first Monday of October of every year since 1986 is a World Habitat Day. This year, October ends with World City Day, celebrated this year for the first time and built around the theme: Better City, Better Life. Both days are organized under the auspices of UN-Habitat. UNIDO and REEEP map out deeper cooperation on sustainable development
