On 16 May 2018, PFAN will hold its second global investment forum in Vienna, in conjunction with the Vienna Energy Forum.

Meet promising entrepreneurs at the frontline of the clean energy transition, and learn first-hand about investment-ready developing country climate & clean energy projects, featuring concrete opportunities to curb greenhouse gas emissions and improve climate change resilience through innovative business solutions. The PFAN Investment Forum is also a great place to network with impact investors and clean energy financing experts from around the world, including PFAN’s regional coordinators.
Programme highlights:
- Business Plan Competition during which expert-vetted investment-ready clean energy projects with an explicit gender dimension and located in West Africa will pitch directly to prospective investors.
- Investment clinics with selected clean energy innovators facing financing experts.
- Keynote address by Bertrand Piccard, the initiator of Solar Impulse
- Presentation of the PFAN Global Awards by a panel of high-level representatives
The investment-ready projects participating in the Business Plan Competition were selected from over 50 submissions to the ECREEE-CTCN-PFAN Call for Proposals for Women-led Sustainable Energy Enterprises in West Africa. This call formed part of the CTCN/ECOWAS Project on Mainstreaming Gender for a Climate-Resilient Energy System in West Africa. Find out more about this Call for Proposals here or in an article published in The Copenhagen Post (p.8).
The projects taking part in the Investment Clinics have been sourced from UNIDO's Global Cleantech Innovation Programme, and are still undergoing PFAN coaching to reach investment-readiness.
