On 8 and 9 December the “Future of Renewables” Virtual Conference, organised by Reuters Events, will bring together policy makers and leaders from across the renewable energy sector to chart the path to clean and sustainable future.

The two-day event will be taking place at a time when the world seeks to seize the chance for a green recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and turn commitments into concrete actions.
On the first day of the conference, REEEP Director General Magdalena Kouneva will moderate the session “Preparing for COP26 - Setting the agenda now”, which will outline the topics that must be among the priorities of next year’s landmark summit in Glasgow, Scotland. The discussion will involve high-level representatives of ScottishPower Renewables, World Energy Council, World Resources Institute and the United Nations Development Programme. Further details are available below.
Other sessions will focus on global renewable energy landscape, green recovery, scaling-up global investment in renewables and the future of renewables in emerging economies. High-level participation from leading industries and international organizations is expected.
