Purpose of the association:
- Support climate and environment protection by promoting the development and advancement of market readiness for renewable energy and energy efficiency in low- and middle-income countries;
- Support equitable development by promoting access to affordable and clean energy services in these countries;
- Support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, in particular SDG7 (ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all) and SDG 13 (take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts) as well as the implementation of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Paris Agreement (in particular the implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions – NDCs);
- Accelerate the market growth of low carbon renewable and energy efficiency systems, decrease their costs and turn them into affordable energy options for all.
